Boreal Plant Breeding Ltd. is a Finnish company specialising in the breeding of field crop varieties for northern regions.  Our principal market area is Finland, where we are the market leader in our sector. Our main export areas include Sweden, the Baltic States and Russia.

Our head office, laboratories, and a substantial part of our breeding operations are based in Jokioinen, Finland. Our field trials are located across Finland, northern Europe and Russia. Boreal’s largest shareholder is the State of Finland, while its other owners include Finnish Farmers Unions and a group of agribusiness companies.
